If academic competition is a student’s passion, there’s plenty of opportunity at Dorris-Eaton. Students participate at campus, local, state and national levels in such diverse areas as spelling, math, speech, science, geography, art and mythology. Each year Dorris-Eaton writers are accepted for publication as poets and essayists, and nearly 70% of Dorris-Eaton’s seventh and eighth grade students take the SAT. Many receive Honors with Distinction or State recognition in math, verbal, or both, and significantly outscore college-bound seniors.
